Description
“Simply put, she is the supreme God of the Gods in our universe.”
Kalos, The Fire Dragon
Sometime before Man
Of course, no one really knows who or what The One is, but all but the most foolish acknowledge her existence.
As is the case with Gods, little is known about The One as none, except Siberlee, have spoken to her or directly felt her presence. It is suspected by the Scribes and Sages who know of such things, the closest to others interacting with The One may have been when the diety channeled through Siberlee to a threesome of Scribes and Sages. This occurred in season 665 After Man when The One Book was written.
That sacred tome was penned by Kalos, The Fire Dragon, Onas Brushstroke, and Sara Dragonmist and is thought to be the words of The One herself. The actual translation of The One’s words was channeled through Siberlee, the Mother of Nature, and all that is Good… or so the myth goes.
If The One is the supreme God of all Gods, The One Book is the supreme book of all books.

Once completed by the threesome of Sages, with Siberlee’s help, The One Book is thought to have contained not only all the truths of Mernac but all the knowledge of the entire universe.
Appearance
According to any texts the can be found in the Great Library of Hob, none really know what The One, or The Other really look like… or if they even have a physical body. Also, none are sure why most beings have always perceived The One as female.
Mayhap it is this. In our world, as a general rule, the females of most species tend to be more “Good” and are the caregivers, while the males tend to be more “Evil” and controlling. Yes this would make sense… For if anything, The One is certainly Good.

As for her actual appearance, it is suspected that all, at one time or another, have imagined what she looks like, at least in their own minds’ eye. Few, however, are bold enough to share their vision. The most notable exception would be the Artisan Onus Brushstroke with his famous, some say infamous, painting titled “The World Builder.”
It is rumored, as with most of Onas’ Fables, that Onas, Siberlee’s former lover, was inspired by one of Siberlee’s dreams of The One. It is well documented that Siberlee often spoke in her sleep and Onas based much of his art and writing on his interpretations of those dreams.
In “The World Builder” he depicted The One forming Mernac with her hand. It is from this painting in the late 600s that most have come to accept what The One’s physical appearance would be if she had a physical form.
Whenever asked about the painting or The One, Onas would always answer:
“She is an attractive slender female, when in a human form, with dark short hair. Her skin is snow but forever glows a soft pleasing blue. A gorgeous and sensual blue just as our Moon Araf, the moon she asked her daughter Siberlee create in her likeness. Though there is a darkness to her look, just as there is a darkness surrounding moon, she is forever illuminated by our glowing world. For The One is eternally present and building our world, just as she is building a thousand other worlds, all at the same time.

Communications
It is well known that The One only communicates directly with, or through, Siberlee, The Mother of Nature, and all that is Good. This has sometimes created chaos in Mernac when Siberlee becomes unavailable for whatever Godly reasons she has for doing so. The first of these was when the Goddess was overly melancholy for not being able to bear a child. She decided to descend from Mirdoren to secretly live alone with the creatures and beasts of Mernac.
The remaining Gods and Goddesses wished for her return but knew she would not come back until she could have a child. A child would become The Race of Man. The Gods and Goddesses could not contact to create that child, so they eventually devised their solution to accomplish the task. Without the help of The One, the solution had inherent problems and caused Father Barak to lose his soul as is documented in the sacred parchment, The Mothers and the Fathers.
According to the thoughts of Onas, The First Disciple, these infrequent absences of Siberlee throughout history are by The One’s design and not simply serendipity.
Each time my love is absent it causes her sisters and brothers to take action, to become more self-reliant, and they seem to grow as Gods. I asked Siberlee once if her absences were planned by The One for this reason. She simply smiled sweetly, with that special knowing smile that only Siberlee has.

Metaphysical Interpretations
According to Stephina Hawkhens, the Kindom of Hob’s Grand Metaphysicist, The One, has no physical form or substance at all and is really nothing other than the universe’s largest collection of positive magical essence, just as The Other is no more than a collection of negative magical essence. In her controversial treatise “Balencia”, Hawkhens writes that the universe must always be in complete balance, or “Balencia” if spoken in the Dark Elven tongue. If there is ever too much negative essence in the universe an equal amount comes into existence into what the Metaphysicist calls The One Collection so the balance will be maintained. The Same happens if there is an event of an abundance of positive essence; an equal amount of negative essence is created in The Other Collection. These Collections are what The One and The Other are according to Hawkhens.
Hawkhens believes both The One and The Other Collections are the exact opposite of each other and are continually in a Metaphysical Battle to be the higher of the two. They are compelled by physics to do so, just as water will always try to fill an empty cavity… but because of “Balencia” in the end, like water, they will always seek the same level.
As most know, Stephina Hawkhens, work is considered blasphemy by all by the most ignorant or naive, and most of his work was burned publicly before his execution. That said, it is rumored that even though his work is considered taboo by most, that Witches and Wiccan folk base most of their beliefs on it.
Lore
The lore and tales of The One are endless. It is thought that this is because each Race, each Class, each Profession… nay, each individual… at least those with a soul, perceive The One in their own unique way. Most, however, agree that The One, with the help of The Other, created Mernac some 17,000 seasons before the birth of Man. Most also believe that they created 20 Gods to live in and form the world of Mernac as is documented in the parchment The Mothers and the Fathers, and again in the sacred scroll Siberlee’s Good. All, or almost all, believe the powers of The One and the Other are without limit, and they have an endless supply of Ga at their disposal to perform any task or magic imaginable.
Naysayers
There are a few, very few, who do not believe in the divinity of The One. Those of that belief usually carry the Tittle Witch, though they never disclose this except to other known Witches or Wiccan. They believe The One and for that matter, The Other, are simply dreams and stories Siberlee and Barak devised to explain things not yet understood. The Witches also do not believe in the divinity of any of the Mothers or Fathers and that they are really mortals with extremely strong magical powers.
